Jessi Barrowclough

DVM – Veterinarian

Dr. Barrowclough as born and raised in Johnson City. She attentended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for both her undergraduate studies and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. The last five years she has spent in general practice and is excited to transition into shelter medicine. Along with her husband, she resides in Johnson City with her three children and two scruffy dogs. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, summers on the lake, cooking, and many forms of crafting.

April Fitzgerald

DVM – Veterinarian

Dr. April Fitzgerald obtained her DVM from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 after transitioning from a 5 year career teaching high school biology. Upon graduation from LSU, she was drawn to the mountains, climate and kind residents of the Tri-Cities area. Over the past 13 years, she has worked in private practice and as a relief veterinarian throughout the Tri-Cities and is looking forward to providing preventative pet care for the shelter and community of Johnson City. Dr. Fitzgerald has special interests in preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry, and empowering pet owners through client education. She has a soft spot for senior pets, and strives to help enhance their quality of life through their geriatric years. Dr. Fitzgerald enjoys her time away from the clinic hiking and camping with the loves of her life – her husband, dachshund and 2 basset hounds.

Andrew Tepe

MSM, LVMTg, – Clinic Manager, Lead Veterinary Technologist

Andrew graduated from Lincoln Memorial University with a B.S. in Veterinary Technology. He worked for the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine as an Anesthesia Technician teaching veterinary students how to run safe and effective anesthetic cases for seven years. After completing his M.S. in Management from Austin Peay State University he moved to Columbus, Ohio to work as a Clinical Manager for the anesthesia department at a large emergency and specialty practice. Eventually the mountains called Andrew, his wife, and their two dogs back to Tennessee. In their free time, Andrew and his wife can be found playing soccer, enjoying local restaurants, and relaxing on the lake with their two dogs and their newly adopted shelter pup.

To raise funds, improve the quality of life for the shelters animals, promote spay and neuter, facilitate outreach and educational activities about the humane treatment of companion animals throughout Washington County and Johnson City, Tennessee, and to increase pet adoptions at the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter.
