Registration

1. Any animal over the age of 6 months must show proof of rabies vaccination or they will be administered a 1-year rabies vaccination at the cost to the owner, pursuant to TN Code § 68-8-103, NC Code G.S. § 130A-185, VA Code § 3.2-6521.

 

2. Additional vaccinations and services are available at cost to the owners.

 

3. Appointments are booked on a first come, first served basis and are available to be booked up to 2 months in advance.

 

4. Full payment for services rendered is due at the time of booking. If you are flagged as a “No Show” your appointment will not be rebooked and your payment will be forfeited.

 

5. Curbside only. Our clinic functions as a Curbside only service. Please remain in your car when you arrive for your appointment and follow the directions posted on the signs in the parking lot.

 

6. All animals will receive a small tattoo indicating their spayed/neutered status.

 

7. All dogs must be leashed and all cats must be in carriers. Feral cats must be kept in their traps.

We are also open to residents outside of Washington County and Johnson City.

 

Surgical Requirements:

 

  • 1. Minimum age 12 weeks old
  • 2. Minimum weight of 3 pounds
  • 3. Proof of rabies vaccination – animals without proof of vaccination will be signed up for vaccination at cost to the owner
  • 4. Animals over the age of 7 will require bloodwork and Dr. approval – please call to schedule
  • 5. All animals must have food withheld after midnight the night prior to surgery and fasted the morning of surgery.

 

We will NOT perform surgery on the following animals:

 

  • 1. Animals known to be pregnant
  • 2. Animals in heat – must wait 4 weeks minimum after signs of heat to be a surgical candidate
  • 3. Brachycephalic animals – bulldogs, frenchies, pugs or other “short-nosed” animals
  • 4. Pets who have previously had C-Sections
  • 5. Animals that are overweight

Pricing

Price above includes physical exam of pet (as able to perform), all medications, general anesthesia, and one round of pain medication. Additional oral pain relief options are available for an additional cost.
